This very simple recipe is always a hit with my family. Just put it in the crock pot in the morning and it’s ready for dinner that night. I took this from NatashasKitchen.com and mostly just changed the BBQ sauce to better suit my taste.
Ingredients
- 3 lbs chicken breasts
- 2 cups BBQ sauce (I use Sweeet Baby Rays – Sweet & Spicey)
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Directions
- Stir together all the ingredients in the crock pot
- Add chicken breasts and cover with sauce
- Cook on low for 6 to 7 hours depending on the size of the chicken breasts. Could cook on high for 2 to 3 hours, if in a rush.
- Remove chicken and pull apart with two forks. I should be tender enough to easily pull apart, if not cook it longer. Place shredded chicken back in the crockpot and keep warm until serving.
