I continued working on the storage for behind the galley on the passenger side of the van. I cut and machined the last few pieces of aluminum extrusion and assembled the structure. Actually, I had to assemble it three times. The first time, I made the mistake of not including washers on the hinges, so they would not tighten up enough. Then, after I had it reassembled, I realized that I had put the hinges on the wrong side and my doors would open to the left instead of to the right, which I wanted. But after the third time, I got everything right.
I also spliced into the LED wire circuit for the galley to be able to have a light above the toilet in the back of the van.
Here is a picture of what it looks like so far. I haven’t bolted it to the unistrut, yet. I ran out of time for today. But it will be the first item on the agenda for tomorrow. Then I’ll start work on the plywood walls and shelves.
