Day #37 Van Build – 7/12/25

It is Artie’s birthday today, so I didn’t have a lot of time to work on the van. I did manage to squeeze in about three hours of work. With that time, I glued Landau foam to the seven wall panels that I had cut out yesterday. Elizabeth helped with the three largest panels, as they were too big to do with one person.

After all the foam was applied, I then used some small time blocks to apply Minwax paste to the eight wall panels that needed it, including the seven that I cut out yesterday. Now all the wall panels are completed, except for any holes for electrical items. But, I won’t know where those holes go for a while. And, I’m thinking those holes will be easy to complete when I’m ready. I’m treating this as a milestone that I’m glad is behind me.

I’m going out of town for a week, starting tomorrow, to participate in a disaster recovery mission in the Appalacian Mountains as they continue to recover from Hurricane Helene. So, another break from working on the van, but for a good cause. When I return to work on the van, I’ll try to arrange some helping hands to help me install the linoleum floor and the solar panels.
