Day #16 (5/22/24) – Bike Across America

I woke up with a stuffy nose and a sore throat. I think I’m allergic to something in my hotel room, or just Muncie in general. 🙂

Got some OTC allergy medicine from the front desk and walked around town to get some fresh air. Didn’t take long to walk around town. I saw some cars, but no people. It was a ghost town. Nothing open and lots of boarded up buildings. I’m was waiting to hear a Rod Serling’s voice in my head telling me something sinister was about to happen.

Since there was nothing open in town, I went back to the hotel to get some breakfast. Then took a nap.

Felt better after waking up and started doing Jim stuff. Lifted weights, laundry, reading, etc.

Went to the local bike shop in the afternoon for a diversion.

I talked on the phone with a lot of people today and emailed a bunch too. It was great catching up with everyone.

I’m back on the bike tomorrow, and it looks like good weather. Looking forward to getting out of Muncie and down the trail.
